Behind the Apron

Hi, I’m Jamie—the hands, heart, and creative spark behind Sweet Bee’s!

 

Believe it or not, my path to baking didn’t start in the kitchen. I studied marine biology and freshwater ecology, then spent time working in sales before stepping into my most rewarding role—being a stay-at-home mom.

Looking for a creative outlet, I started baking for fun and sharing test batches with a neighbor. What I didn’t expect? He was a lawyer who insisted I turn my hobby into a business—and even helped me form my LLC. From there, Sweet Bee’s was born.

The name holds a special place in my heart. When my second son was born, his older brother couldn’t say his name and lovingly called him “Bee.” Every night, I’d whisper, “Goodnight, my Sweet Bee.” It stuck—and now it sweetens every order that leaves my kitchen.

What began as a one-woman hobby has grown into a full-time passion, fueled by amazing customers and a love for creating cookies and cupcake cakes that make your celebrations memorable.
